For dancers & dance parents navigating training, competitions, confidence, culture and everything nobody tells you about the dance world. Welcome to The Winning Edge Academy. I’ve spent 30 years inside the dance industry - as a professional dancer, West End performer, dance captain, casting director, teacher, adjudicator and coach. And now I experience the dance world from another perspective too - as the mum of an elite dancer navigating training, competitions, opportunities and the realities of this industry today. That combination changed the way I see dance. TWEA exists because there are conversations dancers and parents need to have that often don’t happen inside the studio. The brilliant moments. The difficult ones. Confidence. Comparison. Competitions. Auditions. Training environments. Parent decisions. Gut feelings. And all the grey areas nobody gives you a handbook for. This isn't about telling you how to dance or how to parent. It's about helping you navigate the dance world with more confidence, perspective and trust in yourself. Welcome to the conversation.
