For PE teachers ready to stop running glorified recess and start coaching real strength. Build a program that develops athletes year over year. I'm Justin Goff-Burch, MS, CSCS — Director of Human Performance at Rigby High School, NHSSCA Idaho State Director, and PhD S&C candidate. I didn't take the traditional path. I was trained as a college S&C coach at Utah and Weber State, grinding dual internships and 12-hour days before a full-time role at Grand Canyon University. After GCU I got into High School Strength and Conditioning and I love this field. I've now spent the past 8 years \(3 in college and 5 in HS\) working with 1,000+ athletes to gain unique experience that has shaped a vision for what high school S&C should look like. There is no formal pipeline to become a high school strength coach. No degree program. No certification. No roadmap. I had to build the bridge between S&C expertise and a PE teaching license myself — from scratch, with no template. High School Strength Systems exists so you don't have to. Stop teaching PE. Start coaching athletes.
