A community for blacksmiths and makers who refuse to wait for the perfect shop. Start where you are, use what you have, and make something awesome. About 17 years ago, I searched YouTube for “How to make a sword.” I loved Lord of the Rings, wanted swords of my own, and my family couldn’t afford them—so I figured I’d make one. I found a video of a sword being forged, and it quite literally changed my life. My first “forge” was a hole in the dirt filled with charcoal. Since then, I’ve worked everywhere from shops equipped with nearly every tool imaginable to where I am now: forging blades out of my detached garage. This community is for anyone with the desire to create—whether you’re lighting your first forge or you’ve been swinging a hammer for years. For $9/month, you’ll get exclusive WIP videos from my shop, livestreams, the little tips and tricks I’ve learned over the years, and a community where you can share your work, ask questions, and get feedback. I’ll be in here interacting with you guys most every day. Making stuff is better with friends. I’ll see you in the forge. —Matt
